Dimity was featured in the latest Wedding Inspirations summer issue. Our ‘Belinda’ bodysuit, ‘Iris’ tulle skirt and 3D flower birdcage veil were photographed in a gorgeous beachside-bohemian shoot
on the Noordhoek coast in Cape Town. ‘Belinda’ made multiple appearances as an
adaptable undergarment for many other brands’ sheer dresses too! Find us on page 30 & 35 to inspire your boho wedding dreams.
When Antoinette came to the Dimity studio in
Blairgowrie, Randburg for her consultation, she told us she wanted a unique, non-traditional wedding dress. Antoinette's favourite singer is Stevie Nicks, who inspired the 1970's design that we constructed from her mother's own bridal
gown. Dimity often completes orders where a bride wants us to incorporate her
mom's or gran’s dress. For Antoinette’s bodice, we used the swirly embroidered
lace and guipure lace leaves from her mother’s gown. These were also dotted on
her dramatic bell sleeves which made her dress a true showstopper! To finish
off her unique Dimity bridal gown, we printed a custom floral print onto her
crepe skirt which added a touch of wildflower romance under her mom's vintage lace. The couple got married at the
trendy, eclectic Katy’s Palace Bar in Sandton which perfectly matched Antoinette’s
unconventional bridal style.
Earlier this year, Dimity was
involved in a styled shoot filled with music, singing and a picturesque river
setting. The shoot was at the forest venue at Toadbury Hall and was organised
by Johannesburg-based destination-wedding planner, Weddings by Tasha. It was wonderful working
with the inspiring models - The Voice SAstar Josh Ansley and his gorgeous wife, Kerryn Ansley. She wore Dimity's Iris corset which features a scooped back
and sumptuous embroidered beaded lace. The corset was paired with a tulle skirt
adorned in antique filet lace and delicate hand-worked crochet details. This gorgeous shoot was also featured in Troukoors –

The colour gold exudes elegance, luxury and glamour. Johannesburg is known as the City of Gold and what better place to have a styled shoot than Emoyeni in the heart of the city. Dimity worked with an incredible team of wedding industry suppliers and we all had one goal in mind: to explore the colour gold. From the gold leaf makeup to the minimalist jewellery, this shoot highlighted the glamour and boldness of the precious metal. Our Tulle Bi Telli dress from the Dimity EcoBride collection is an ivory and gold gown, constructed from organic cotton sateen and Egyptian tulle hand-embellished with metal pieces. Zero-waste pattern-cutting was used to create this Eco-friendly bridal gown; meaning there is no off-cut fabric waste generated from the making of the dress. We hope to inspire your Jozi wedding dreams with these stunning photographs.

In July this year, Dimity Bridal Studio
exhibited at the Oakfield FarmBridal Expo. We ran a competition for one lucky bride to win
a one-of-a-kind bridal hairpiece. Siphumelele won our 1950's inspired fascinator with a silk taffeta bow. She
wore it on her big day and looked stunning!
